KEY, MOORE

Looking for connections to: George KEY and Margaret JORDON, they had Jane, Andrew, George, Green, Margaret, Francis, Dayton, Martha, Harrison, Christopher and DeMarcus (the last two were twins). We know this family lived in Greene County and moved to Grayson County, TX. and after the death of the father the mother probably moved back to Greene County with the children that were still living at home, she may have changed the spelling to McKee. Martha Jane MOORE married Francis Marion KEY in Texas. We know her fathers name was Jake (possibly a nickname) MOORE, mothers maiden name was FISHNER. Martha had at least one sister, married name was HERD and lived in OK. We know this family lived in Greene County until 1859 and then moved to Grayson County, TX. The 1850 census shows many KEY and MOORE families.

All were involved as sureties etc for each other. There is also SALLY BLAIR and WILLIAM BLAIR JNR mentioned as witnesses in a ct case in 1828. In 1829 WILLIAM BLAIR was recognized for TAB (terroristic assault and battery??) against his wife NANCY BLAIR. For reasons appearing to the court, they ordered that the State Attny Gen send the Bill of Indictment to the Grand Jury and no one locally would prosecute. WM BLAIR JNR was to deliver him or pay costs. These charges were dropped in 1832. Any help appreciated.

LONG, MCCULLOUGH

My 4th great grandfather was John Long. He was born sometime between 1770 and 1780 and married Susannah McCullough in Greene county Tennessee on January 9th 1807. John and Susan later moved to Franklin county. I would greatly appreciate any information that any one might be able to provide on the Long family of Greene county, including where the Longs might originally have come from and John Longs connection to them. In addition, any information on the McCullough family would also, definitely, be appreciated.
