Researching Louisa L.(L.maybe LANDBRIGHT) MILLER b. 18 Apr.1828 in Greeneville, Tn who married Chas. Richard BOWSER 26 Sept 1850, Greene Co.Tn. Believe she was the dau. of WM. MILLER & SARAH MALTSBERGER.Was Sarah the dau. of John MALTSBERGER, SR., named in his will 4 Sept.1854 (names a Sarah intermarried to Wm. Miller). 1850 census lists Wm. Miller as a cabinet maker. Need birth and death dates of Sarah & Wm. Miller. Was this WM. MILLER the Miller buried in Union Temple Cem.? Dates b.4/14/1801 d. 5/24/1864. No tombstone existed for a wife ?Sarah. Other children of above Wm Miller family were Philip, Martha, Van Buren, Nancy, Eliza, Margarete V. Miller. I do not have any informaton on their children other than my Louisa. Chas. My 4th generation grandfather was Daniel BURD or BIRD, Born 20 May 1808 in Greene Co., TN.
His father was Jacob BIRD, born 1780, VA, married 8 Feb 1800 in Greene Co., TN, and died after 1855 in Walker Co., GA.
Jacob was married to Amelia DUNN, born 10 Sep. 1781 in Albemarle Co., VA, and who died in 1855 in Walker Co., GA.
Amelia DUNN's Father was Daniel DUNN, born 7 Jun 1761, and married 25 Mar 1822, both in Albemarle, VA, then died on 25 Mar 1822, in Greene Co., TN.
His wife (Amelia's mother) was a Rhoda (maiden name unknown) born 22 Sep 1759 in Albemarle Co., VA, and who died on 25 Aug. 1821, Greene Co., TN.
My inquiry regards Daniel and Rhoda DUNN, who moved from VA to Greene Co., TN sometime between 1781 and 1800, and whose descendants apparently moved on to GA and MO by, at the latest, the 1850's. This is everything I know about this family, and would appreciate greatly any knowledge that you might be able to provide regarding the history of the DUNN family. Thank you very much,

I am trying to locate the parents and siblings of George Lafayette CAMPBELL of Greene Co, TN. He was born 12 Mar 1835 in Greene Co. In 1850, he was living with the William M Campbell family. William was married to Elizabeth FEEZLE, daughter of Henry and they had 4 or 5 children. They are too young to be George's parents, coupled with the fact they also have a much younger child in the household named George. I believe because of this that William M. could have been an older brother to George, who possibly took him in upon the death of his parents. I have not been able to find any wills etc to indicate who the parents were, or any other siblings. My George Lafayette Campbell married Susannah KIZER on 7 Jan 1855 in Greene Co, TN. John D. DELANEY died in Greene County, TN in 1823. In his will, he named 13 children and/or their heirs. He did not mention or name his wife. I assume that she had died by this time. Who was the wife of John D. Delaney? This John was the son of Francis DELANEY and his wife, Agnes (maiden name unknown). Additional children of Francis and Agness Delaney were: James, Daniel, Agnes, Mary, and Jane. I would appreciate any additional information, especially on Francis and Agnes.

I don't really have a question, but am hoping to find someone that has been working on the Derry Family there in Greene Co., TN. My husband's grandmother was Lida Belle Taylor Derry Ailshie Haun. Desperately need to contact any descendent/or researcher of HENRY EARNEST listed on the 1850 Greene Co. census. My interest, at this point, is in determining his connection with my ancestor TERRY H. MELTON, who, in 1815 appointed Henry Earnest as his attorney to collect all monies due him(Terry H. Melton) as a result of service in the War of 1812.Power of attorney was executed by John (surname begins with M but rest is unreadable) Justice of the Peace for Greene Co. in 1815. Feel there may have been a marriage between Melton/Earnest daughter and need to verify.
Need 1810 or 1820 Census look-up for name of Justice of the Peace for Greene Co. TN in 1815. Have documemt from National Archives showing unreadable name of John M_?_. Need information concerning John Washington Knight who lived mostly in the Bulls Gap area. He married Bridgett Manis and had four children, one of which was my father named for J.T. Lutz, a 28-year old uncle who was murdered Dec. 6, 1949. (My father was born Dec. 26, 1949.) John Washington Knight originally came from North Carolina, but a huge amount of his roots are here in Greene County. He is also buried in the Andrew Johnson National Cemetery and was a WW I veteran. I would basically like to know the names of his closest of kin in the area and the region from which these people originally hailed.
