Research Aids
- Just starting to research your ancestors? There are several very good websites on the internet to help you get started:
- Information about Researching in Tennessee Counties by Ed Byler.
Ed gives great tips on
how to research little known areas in the
counties of Tennessee.
- Using Funeral Homes as a Genealogical Research Tool.
- Social Security Death Index
- Our own Literary Corner which contains books you can purchase which can be an aid in your research, or just an interesting read.

find a cousin or two.

- Greene County Death Indexes for the years between 1914-1925. Introduction to the Indexes to other counties.

- Larue's Pictures About Greene County, TN
Check out Greene County pictorially, thanks to a Greene Co native LaRue Bales.
She seems to enjoy photography and it shows.
- Ancestor Homeland Locator. Pictures of homes of our Greene County ancestors, a site by Wayne Conduff.
- John Robertson has put up a page called "Historical County Lines." This page contains sites from the 50 states and links that he has found regarding each state in how and when each county was formed (not all counties are listed as he just puts up what he can find). Many of his links show maps that are found on the internet pertaining to this subject. Facinating site.

If you have a site that you think should be listed here,
please feel free to contact me,
