To the Hon. Gershom A. Hoff, Judge of the County Court, of the County of Clay and State of Illinois:

Your petitioner DAYTON A. BIBLE would respectfully represent that on the 26th day of JULY A. D. 1880 Gabriel Bible late of the town of ROCKY COMFORT in the county of MCDONALD and State of MISSOURI HIS RESIDENCE departed this life intestate and as far as this petitioner know or believes, or suspect, no will, testament, codicil or other writing relating to the disposal or distribution of the estate of deceased or of any part thereof, has been found or discovered by Petitioner or by any other person or persons whatever and that said deceased at the time of his death owned Real Estate of the probable value of FOUR HUNDRED dollars and Personal Estate of the probably value of TWO HUNDRED dollars.

That said deceased left surviving him ALPHA A. BIBLE his widow and DAYTON A. BIBLE, COLUMBUS A. BIBLE, PHERMAN M. BIBLE AND ERMINA M. BIBLE his children as heirs. That your petitioner being A SON of said deceased and believing that the said estate should be immediately administered as well for the proper management of said estate as for the prompt collection of the assets by virtue of his right under the Statute, therefore he prays that your honor will grant letters of administration to WILLIAM H. HUDELSON in the premises upon HIS taking the oath prescribed by the Statute and entering into bond in such sum and with such securities as may be approved by your Honor.
