John Bible, decd. Nov 4 1850 - Mins: 21
I John Bible do make and publish this as my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all other wills by me at any time made.
First I direct that my funeral expenses and all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible, out of any money that I may be possessed of, or may first come into the hands of my executors.
Secondly _ It is my will that my beloved wife Elizabeth still keeps possession of my tract of land on which I now live and all the personal property on said tract of land so long as she remains under my name.
Thirdly _ I give and bequeath to my son David the tract of land on which I now live after the death of his mother by him paying my two grandchildren, James and William Fry, seventy six dollars, and one hundred and ninety dollars and sixty six and two thirds cent in trade when they are twenty one years of age.
Fourthly _ I give to my grandson Thomas Fry, the plantation or lands which I bought of Alexander Hall on the south side of Chucky, by him living with and assisting to support his Grandmother and if she should died before he is twenty one years of age, he is to continue with David until he is and to be assist David in cultivating the farm and to have a good horse saddle and bridle out of my estate at the age of twenty one.
Fifthly _ It is my will that after the death of my wife all the personal property which may remain to be equally divided between all my heirs.
Sixthly _ I appoint my two sons Christly and David Bible my executors.
In witness whereof I do to this my will set my hand and seal, this second day of August one thousand and eight hundred and forty four.
Signed, sealed and published in our presence and we have subscribed our names hereto in the presence of the Testator, this 2d day of August 1844.
