Know all men by these presents, that, I Henry Bible of the 8th Civil District of Greene County, Tennessee, being in ill health, but of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any former time made. And as to my worldly estate, and all the property Real, Personal or mixed of which I shall die seized, and processed, or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease, I devise, bequeth and dispose thereof in this following manner to wit:
First -- my will is that all my just debts and funeral expence shall by my Executor hereinafter named be paid out of my Estate as soon after my decease, as shall by him be found conveniently.
2nd -- I give, devise and bequeth to my beloved wife Isibell J. Bible, all my household and kitchen furniture. I also give to her the use, improvement, and ingress of my dwelling house, land and its appurtinences thereto. Situated in Civil Distict No. 8 of Greene County, Tennessee adjoining lands of Christian Bible and others, containing one hundred and eighty one acres. To have and to hold the same to her for and during her natural life or as long as she remains my widow.
3rd -- I give, devise and bequeath to my son William S. Bible the revesion of my dwelling house, lands and its appurtenances. Situated in Civil District No. 8 Greene County Tennessee, adjoining lands of Christian Bible and Others, containing one hundred and Eighty One acres, and all profits increase and advantage, that may result therefor from and after the death, or marriage of my beloved wife Isabell J. Bible. To have and to hold the same to him, the said William S. Bible his heirs and assigns from and after the decease or marriage of my said wife, to his and their use forever.
4th -- I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret E. Bible Two hundred dollars to be paid to her by my executor herein after named, within twelve months after my decease out of the funds of my estate to make her equal with my other two daughters Louisa J. Hartman and Susannah Cobble.
5th -- I have given to the heirs of my son, James Bible decd namely Charles L. Bible and Barbara E. Bible, two hundred Dollars all their part of my estate. Real, Personal or mixed, for which amount I took their guardian Jonathan Bible receipt in full.
6th -- I hand paid Lousia J. Hartman, my daughter, Two hundred dollars all her part of my estate Real, Personal or mixed and took her receipt in full.
7th -- I hand paid Susannah Cobble, my daughter, two hundred dollars all her part of my estate. Real, Personal or mixed, and took her receipt in full.
8th -- I have paid A. J. Bible my son three hundred dollars, his part of my estate, Real, Personal or mixed and took his receipt in full.
9th -- I hand paid Charles S. Bible my son three hundred dollars, his part of my estate, Real, Personal or mixed and took his receipt in full.
10th -- I have paid Christian W. Bible my son three hundred dollars, his part of my estate, Real, Personal or mixed and took his receipt in full.
11th -- I will to Isabel J. Bible my beloved wife all the grain, hay and livestock that may be on hand at my death. Also, whatever money may be left in the hands of my Executor herein after named. After complying with the foregoing will to be paid over to my said widow for the use of her and my youngest children, Margaret E. Bible and William S. Bible for their use forever.
12th -- I will that my blacksmith tools be left on the farm in the shop where they now are for the use of any and all my children.
Lastly, and lastly I do nominate and appoint my son A. J. Bible to be executor of this my last will and testament.
In testimony whereof I the said Henry Bible have to this my last will and testament. Subscribed my name and affixed my seal.
