Herbert "Herb" Bible, 83, of Louisville, died at 8:05 a.m., June 27, 2004 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Neal Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial will follow at the Floral Garden of Memories with full military rites.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 29, 2004.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Mr. Bible was born on March 11, 1921 in Clay County, son of the late John R. and Ruth (Headlee) Bible. On June 6, 1938, he married Mary Young.

Mr. Bible was a veteran of WWII, a retired farmer, and a member of the United Methodist Church in Louisville, and a past board member of the Clay County Farm Bureau.

He was survived by wife Mary, son Jerry Bible and wife Carolyn of Louisville; daughters Jean Walker and husband Bill of Strausburg, Vickie McGee and husband Robert of Effingham, and Sharon Nelson and husband Larry of Ormond Beach, FL; brother Robert Bible and wife Anita of Siloan Springs, AR; sister Wilma Sparling and husband Melvin of Rockford; nine grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

Mr. Bible was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and two sisters.
