John Calvin Bible, 69 of Green River, Wyo., formerly of this area, died June 24 at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. He was born Nov. 1, 1924 in Flat River to the late John and Esther Holly Bible.

Mr. Bible was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II; he worked as a miner for Texas Gulf for 12 years until his retirement. He attended school in Esther.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jean Cummings Bible of Green River; one son, Wayne Bible of Green River; one daughter, Mary (Mrs. Ross) Padilla of Canyon Lake, Calif.; four brothers: Vernon Bible of Cincinnati, Ohio, Raymond Bible and Danny Bible, both of St. Louis, and Ivan Bible of Texas; six sisters: Doris Carlson of Big Bear, Calif., Helen Wilt of Benton, Ky., Betty Marshall of St. Louis, Neida Bleckler of Desloge, Merl Jean Tanner of St. Louis, and Linda May Watt of Salt Lake City, Utah; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held today at the River View Cemetery in Green River with Pastor Ron Day officiating. (River View Cemetery, Green River, Sweetwater, WY)
