John Bible

John Bible, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Bible, was born at Knob Lick, June 28, 1890 and passed away following a long illness, at his residence in Leadington; Wednesday, March 14, 1962, aged 71 years, eight months and 16 days.

On January 23 1924 he was married to Esther Holly and to this union were born twelve children

He was retired from St. Joseph Lead Company in July, 1957.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Esther Bible, of Leadington; and the following children: J. C. Bible and Raymond Bible, of Long Beach, Calif.;. Vernon Bible, Cincinnati, Ohio; Helen and Lindley Mae [Linda Mae], of the home; Billy(sic) Marshall Bible[Betty Bible Marshall], Detroit, Mich. Murril Jean Clark, Las, Vagas,[sic] Nev.; Nelda Bleckler, Belton, Mo.; Howard D. Bible, St. Louis; Ivan Wayne, U. S. Army, West Germany; Clinton Bible. Leadington also a step.daughter, Doris Koening, of' California: 32 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren two sisters: Mrs. Susie Plummer, of Knob Lick; Mrs. Maggie Sikes, Dog Run; two brothers: Jesse Bible of DeLassus and Joe Bible of Elvins

One daughter, Mrs. Glenda Thompson preceded him in death in 1961.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, March 18 at two o'clock p.m. at the First Baptist of Esther. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery with Caldwell and Sons funeral service.
