Arbutus Mary Clark

Arbutus Mary Clark, age 83, passed away on Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, at St. Marys Hospital. She was born on March 19, 1920, in the Township of Honey Creek, Wis., the daughter of Orra and Lena (Johnson) Bible. She was united in marriage to Marvin W. Clark on Nov. 9, 1937. He preceded her in death in January 1988.
Arbutus worked for many years at Badger Ordinance and Berntsen and Brass Foundry until her retirement in 1982. In her pastime she enjoyed traveling, going on picnics, camping and fishing. Most of all she loved to garage sale.
Arbutus is survived by her two children, Marvin (Helen) Clark of Wisconsin Dells, and Marian (Kenneth) Luke of Greendale; seven grandchildren, Terry (Julie) Clark of Fitchburg, Richard (Tracy) Clark of Madison, Debra Clark of Madison, Greg (Julie) Luke of Greenfield, Donald (Denise) Luke of Greenwood Village, Colo., Pam (Tom) Topping of Greendale, and Christina (Tom) Avant of Rayne, La.; nine great-grandchildren, Jason, Lynsey, Alysha, Andrew, Jacob, Rachel, Sean, Amanda, and Ashley; three great-great-grandchildren, Brandon, Desitiny and Mayle; a sister, Dorothy (Ken) Lukkens, of Baraboo; and two brothers, Dilver (Shirley) Bible of Madison, and Ed Bible of Rockford, Ill. Arbutus is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin W. Clark; an infant son, LeRoy; and five siblings.
A memorial service will be held at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave. on Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at 11 a.m. with Tom Topping speaking. Interment will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Arbutus's very special friends, Annie and Merna.
