Frederic "Ricky" Bible
Ricky died July 1, 2003 at the VA Hospital after an extremely courageous battle with cancer. His voice gone, he depended upon pen and paper to communicate. His responses were always humorous until the end.
Ricky was born September 24, 1948 in San Diego. He graduated in 1966 from Lincoln High School. He played the cello in the orchestra, the trombone in the marching band and earned a letter wrestling. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany as an M.P. Ricky held various jobs as a sales rep for auto parts stores and Miller Beer.
However he will be most remembered for his renovation of a card room into his own restaurant called Chow Time which is now occupied by Antique Row Cafe in Normal Heights.
Survived by his mother Elsie Bible; sister Ruth and brother Roland of San Diego, sons James of San Diego, Jason of Florida; three grandchildren.
Funeral will be Saturday July 12 at 9:30 am Our Redeemer Lutheran Church 1370 Euclid Ave. Funeral arrangements by Mayer Mortuary.(619) 281-7055
