John Walter Clark, 63, of Marble Falls died July 22, 2003. He was born March 24, 1940 in Marble Falls to Lindsey Ralph and Elsa Floreine Hays Clark.
John was a 1958 graduate of Marble Falls High School and retired from LCA after 28 years of service. John was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and friend. His grandchildren knew him as Papa. He was a man of greatest integrity, morals and honesty. A man of faith, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marble Falls. John was a very proud, hardworking man. A man that would help anyone but the last to ask for help. His biggest concerns in life were family and friends. There will be a void in our hearts for a very long time. Papa, we all love you.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years: Hattie “Pat” Allen Ulbright Clark of Marble Falls; son and daughter-in-law: John Alan and Greta Clark of Austin; daughters: Cindy Floreine Clark Braun of Marble Falls and Kelly Dawn Clark of Luling; mother: Elsa Floreine Hays Clark of Marble Falls; brother and sister-in-law: Ralph Alan and Dottie Clark of Marble Falls; grandchildren: Michael Braun of Marble Falls; Katie and Kurt Clark of Austin; and Shelcee Clark of Luling; nephew: Don Clark of Marble Falls; nieces: Monica McMulin of Marble Falls and Monette Smith of Round Rock.
Pallbearers: George DeSpain, Audie Herrington, Darrell Bible, Joel Hays, Don Clark, Hand Kidwell, Wade Herrington and Rafe DeSpain.
John was preceded in death by his father: Lindsey Ralph Clark.
Funeral service was held on July 25 in First Baptist Church with Brother Max Copeland and Brother Steve Peace officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Clements-Wilcox of Marble Falls.
