Virginia J. Bible
BARABOO - Virginia J. Bible, age 71, of Baraboo died Sunday, July 20, 2003, at St. Clare Meadows Care Center, Baraboo, after a brief and courageous battle against cancer and a stroke. She was born March 4, 1932, and grew up in the Sauk Prairie area. She was the daughter of Margaret (Paepke) Lintl and Richard Seitz.
On Aug. 22, 1951, she married Byron Bible of Baraboo and they continued to be together until his death in 1998. Their marriage was blessed with the addition of a daughter, Amy Jo.
Virginia (or Virg as many knew her) as was a very active person. During her lifetime she worked at Schultz's Dime Store, Industrial Coils, and for the past 30-plus years at Kmart of Baraboo. She enjoyed working with the public as well as working at home in her yard, with her flowers, and watching the Green Bay Packers. She was also an active volunteer with St. Clare Meadows Care Center and the Parkway Wesleyan Church until her illness.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Jo of Baraboo; two brothers, Arthur (Donna) Seitz of Sauk City, and Edward Seitz of Pontiac, Mich.; two sisters, Dorothy (John) Sorg of Prairie du Sac, and Lola (Soya) Sagami of Mazomanie; a half-brother, Steve (Linda) Lintl of Prairie du Sac; and in-laws, Dorothy (Ken) Luetkens of Baraboo, Dilver (Shirley) Bible of Madison, Judy Bible of Stoughton, Ed Bible of Rockford, Ill., and Arbutus Clark of Madison. Additional relatives and many great friends further survive her.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Byron; two nephews; sisters-in-law; and four brothers- in-law.
Funeral services for Virginia J. Bible will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2003, at BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 401 Madison Ave., Baraboo, with Pastor Thomas Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Baraboo.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at the funeral home, and one hour before the services on Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America - Wisconsin Chapter, 6644 W. Revere Place, West Allis, WI 53219-1342 (myasthenia gravis is a rare neurological muscular disease with which Virginia lived since 1968 and there currently is no cure) or to the American Cancer Society, 1817 Elderberry Road Madison, WI 53717.
