S. Virginia Shaff, 66, of 400 S. Columbia St., died at 1:40a.m. today at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. she had been ill three months.

She had worked at the Pixie Playhouse for 16 years, serving as director for eight years. She belonged to the First Church of the Nazarene.

She was born in Virginia on Aug. 4, 1913, the daughter of John J. and Ella (Adkins) Bible. On Sept. 4, 1937, she married Ellsworth Shaff, and he survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Ora Lee Parcell of Kankakee, Ill.; one sister, Ruth Hengst of Thorntown; three brothers, John L. of Houston, Amadeus of San Diego, and Enoch of Lafayette; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Earl Roustio and Rev. Harry Dickerson will officiate. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. tomorrow and one hour before services at the Goodwin Funeral Home.
