Elaine Pearl [High] Weaver

Elaine Pearl High, daughter of Eddie Cleveland High and Edith Anetta LaDuke, born December 8, 1916 in Chetopa, Kansas, attended school at West Anthracite and Welch High School and worked for Della Mills at the Welch Telephone office.

On June 23, 1937 in Miami, Oklahoma she married Charles Clarence Weaver, son of George A. and Sudie Elsie (Bible) Weaver, born March 29, 1915 in Alexandria, S. D. Charles worked for Wheatley Brothers in Welch, Milner Hardware in Miami, Oklahoma and in 1947 the couple opened Weaver Hardware in Fairland, Oklahoma, which they operated for about 30 years. Their children are George Edward and James Charles.

Elaine died February 18, 1978. Buried in Welch Cemetery.
