Susie Frances [Bible] Stokes

Susie Frances [Bible] Stokes of Noble died at Purcell Municipal Hospital on Sunday, July 18, after an extended illness. She was 89.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fairview Cemetery at Maguire, with the Rev Rodney Campbell officiating. Services are under the direction of McMahans Funeral Home.

Born at Burnet, Texas, on march 30, 1904, she was the daughter of William Bible. In 1909, the family moved to an area east of Noble, where she later graduated from Noble High School.

Retired for 20 years, Mrs. Stokes had been employed at a nursing home and also worked as a cook at the University of Oklahoma.

Preceded in death by four brothers, Mrs. Stokes is survived by two stepsons, Joe Bolding of Purcell and Walter Bolding, Jr. of Mountain Home, Ark.

Friends may call at McMahans until 9 a.m. Tuesday.
