Burl H. Bible, age 89, formerly of the Inn at Laurens died Saturday, October 30, in the National Health Care of Laurens.
He was born in Del Rio, Tenn., and was a son of the late Zack and Clara Beatrice Self Bible.
Mr. Bible was retired from the Laurens Glass Plant and was a member of the Laurens Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are five sons, Charles Houston Bible of Port Angeles, Washington, Ed Burnett Bible of Fountain Inn, Lindsey Bible of Fountain Inn, Robert E. "Bob" Bible of Myrtle Beach, David Bible of Myrtle Beach; three daughters, Mrs. R. E. (Barbara Faye) Murray of Rock Hill, Judy Campbell of Laurens, Kathy Nelson of Gray Court; two brothers, Allen Bible of Laurens, Andrew Bible of Laurens; one sister, Martha Thompson of Anderson; 25 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and a very special cousin, Burrell Wood of Laurens.
He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Alisha.
Funeral service will be conducted in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, Nov. 1, at 2 p.m. with burial in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening between 7 and 8:30 p.m.
The family will be at the home of his daughter, Judy Campbell, in the Brookwood subdivision off Fleming Mill Road.
