Miscellaneous
Data
In the course of doing research on a single person, family or surname you always run across items of interest that cannot be classified. Much of these unclassifiable items contain valuable genealogical material and/or material that may give you some insight as to how your ancestor lived from day to day. Those with the BIEBEL/BIBLE surname are no exception.
Below are links to those items the BIBLE cousins have found in the course of our research. We hope you enjoy reading these items as much as we have.
- Myths & Legends
All families have them, these are ours.
- "The Recollections of Estil B. Bible" (35 articles)
Cocke County, TN
These articles were written between 1972-1975 by Estil Barb Bible for a local newpaper. He wrote these 27 articles after he was past ninety years of age, and they appear just as he typed them.
As a memorial to him, and to preserve a bit of the past; these articles were published by his granddaughters, Janie Bible Hurley and Elizabeth (Betsy) Bible Wiley.
- Tracing early Bibles within the state of Virginia.
Some notes sent to us by other Bible researchers on their quest to find their roots. These notes pertain to the dates from 1773 to 1835.
- Military History and Travels of Capt. Thomas Bible
during the War Between the States, from original entry into service until discharge.
